Open-loop Hall current sensor is mainly used in factory transformation of DC power distribution system, such as power plant DC power system transformation, substation DC system transformation, communication room transformation, railway locomotive transformation and other projects, it can convert the system central edge DC current signal into a standard DC± 5V or 4-20mA output, play a monitoring and electrical isolation role. It can be used with multi-loop monitoring instrument or other electrical measuring instrument. Therefore, because of its simple structure, easy installation, reliable operation and other good applicability, open-loop Hall current sensor plays a great role in the application of factory DC system, especially in the renovation project has been widely used.
Advantages of open loop current sensor in DC distribution system
In short, from the perspective of renovation cost, if the traditional closed-loop current sensor or shunt is used. During construction, remove the DC busbar copper bar, install sensors, and then reinstall the busbar. During the entire installation process, at least two construction personnel are required to work together, and power off is required to rectify the circuit. If the open-loop hall sensor is installed, only one construction worker is required, and the construction time is expected to be only about 1/20 of the aforementioned method, and the power failure time of the factory can also be reduced accordingly, and even in some cases, the construction and installation of continuous power. Therefore, the use of open-loop current sensors is significantly more time, labor and labor saving.
Taking DC distribution cabinet as an example, when using open-loop current sensors, multiple DC inputs can be summarized into one current output, each of which has circuit breakers, fuses and other protective devices, as well as anti-reflection diodes, etc., and each voltage and current can be monitored, and remote communication can be achieved. The use of 8 open-loop Hall current sensors to monitor DC current is more convenient than traditional Hall installation, safer and more practical than the use of shunt.
In addition, in some railway locomotive renovation projects, if it is required to monitor the bus DC current without disassembling the bus, then the open-loop Hall current sensor can only be used to solve the problem.
